Visit to the ER...

Laura has had a runny nose for days or should I say weeks. Her allergies are out of control but, today it got yellow and she had lots of eye crunchies...after her bath tonight she started screaming and saying her ear hurt. She has never had an ear ache before so I looked up at the clock and it was 5:00pm. I tried to get hold of the pediatrician but, they had already left for the day... I gave her some sudafed and tylenol and hoped it would help but, after an hour of crying I packed her up and took her to the ER so they could give her something that might help her feel better. We sat for 5 hours with her crying waiting to see the doctor. I felt so bad for my sweet little Laura... She was so sad. She started throwing up and for those of you that know me you know I cannot clean up throw up without throwing up myself. I always join the kids for a good puke together. Bonding at it's best right!! Well, I am telling you this because for the first time I didn't throw up or gag. I was even able to hug her despite her wet saturated clothes... It was truly a miracle!! Anyways, after 5 LONG hours the doctor finally came in and said she didn't have an ear infection that the water probably got into her ear and compounded the congestion so just give her a decongestant and tylenol for pain and in a few days she should be better....
