Back to School....

Well, tomorrow is the big day for me.... The kids and Dan started back to school last week but, tomorrow is my first day. I will be going to Western. I am working on my Bachelors in Graphic Design. I love going to school because it is so nice to talk to people about stuff other than poopy diapers. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love being a say at home mommy. But, it nice to get out sometimes. It is nice to have projects to work on and a chance to use my brain.... Wipe the dust off!! LOL But, it is scary at the same time too! I don't have too much in common with the most of the college students. I am the old married lady with kids that sits in the back of the room that raises her hand a lot and asks too many questions. You know the one I am talking about. That's me!! Crazy isn't it... but, none the less I have always wanted to finish my degree so I am going for it... I am really tired just thinking about how tired I am going to be by the end of the week. Anxiety is already setting in and I know I won't sleep tonight...

I haven't updated in awhile so I will give you a brief overview....

Dan is working in Franklin at the early college. He is really enjoying his job this year. He is doing good. He and Isaac have been busy doing guy stuff this summer. They have spent many days out in the shed tinkering with some old four wheelers, bikes, cars and mowers...they got two four wheelers working and have made some trails around the yard to ride around on. Isaac dug a few holes and filled them up with water so they could go mudding.... Yea, I know!! We are becoming Big Red Necks!!!

The kids are enjoying school this year... They all have really great teachers and are off to a good start. We are trying to find a good routine for homework, playtime, dinner and baths and such... it is always hard the first couple of weeks. It seems like all at once bedtime is here and we are still playing and still have baths and dinner..... But, I am sure we will get our routine going better this next week.

Kaley had her 2nd birthday in July. She is starting to talk.... she is learning new words and phrases each day.... She won't repeat anything we say so we just keep talking to her and pointing at things and all at once on her own sweet timing she will just blurt something. She has even made up a few of her own words like "pretty-ful" and calls thomas the tank engine "tommy" she was sitting on the couch yesterday and raises her hand to her forehead and says "oh bother!"... she cracks me up sometimes.

Laura is in K4 this year.... she is loving her new class... Last year she would cry a lot when I would drop her off for a few minutes and then would have the best day ever. This year she snickers when she sees the "babies" crying. She says she is a big girl now and doesn't need to cry anymore. She is still very much into fashion and has decided that only two outfits in her whole wardrobe are "cool" and the others she won't wear. So, she likes to wear the same clothes every day. I so hope this passes soon....She has finally learned to like dogs last week and now would like a puppy for her birthday!!! Amazing!!! She is finally learning to love nature more... well let me say she has always been a nature lover but, has always enjoyed watching if from afar...but, this summer she learned to hunt frogs and critters outside and actually caught them and picked up some. I am so proud of her.... !! She is growing up and will be five real soon...

Julia is in 1st grade this year. She has the same teacher that Isaac had the last two years. She is really good....Julia is doing really well so far and is happy to be back to school. She is a little scared because her brother told her how hard it is and he is "real smart". She told us that Isaac is really smart mom. He knows some things that even you and daddy don't know....LOL. She is really big into critters and has her own frog aquarium now and loves to mother her little creatures. She got her first pair of glasses this summer and just lost her two front teeth. She is a sweetheart.

Isaac is going into 3rd grade. I cannot believe how big he is getting. He loves school this year too. He likes getting back to all his friends. He loves working on small engines with his daddy. Still building with legos nxt and building and playing with the lego racer race cars. He is all about speed!! He Loves driving the four wheeler and giving his little sisters rides. It's a good excuse to ride a little bit longer *wink*

It has been a good summer!! Back to the grind and the hustle and bustle!! I will try to post some pictures really soon!

It's neat to see all the pictures of your beautiful children. They are really growing up!

I'm saving the "Box Tops" for your kiddos.
